Each year the club schedules two open regattas. These regattas are as follows:

Punch Bowl Regatta

When Dixie Sailing Club was formed in the early 1960’s the minutes of the first board meeting reflect that the club wanted to have a regatta in the spring for the sailors in the region. The minutes of that meeting state that the regatta will be call The Punch Bowl Regatta. Over the years the event drew as many as 50 boats, including one skippered by Americas Cup skipper Ted Turner. The 50th consecutive annual event of the regatta was held in March 2012. The regatta was not held for a few years as the club moved to the new location, but resumed in 2015 and will continue in the future.

This regatta is typically held in October.
